Reishauer AG is a global leader in high‑precision gear grinding technology and a long‑standing innovation partner to the automotive industry. With around 800 employees in Switzerland and a strong international footprint, the company combines advanced engineering with a commitment to operational excellence and continuous digitalization.
Reishauer needed a modern and flexible way to record working hours, absences, and shift patterns across both office and production environments. Their previously developed system had become increasingly complex, required substantial administrative effort, and no longer aligned with the company’s evolving HR needs. To move forward, Reishauer set out to replace fragmented routines with a single automated system that supports diverse working time models, shift operations, on‑call duties, and rest‑period rules while ensuring full compliance with Swiss labor law.
The new system must allow administrators to adjust settings independently, provide an intuitive interface for employees and managers, integrate seamlessly with the existing SAP landscape, work reliably for production staff using shared terminals, allocate hours correctly to customer orders and cost centers, and remain extendable with future HR modules.
Reishauer selected Xpert’s solution with two integrated modules. The system now handles complex working models, calculates all relevant premiums, and synchronizes data with SAP in real time.
With the new setup, employees record their working hours and absences directly in the system, while all rules for shift premiums, allowances, and wage‑relevant calculations are embedded in the configuration. A significant part of the project involved change management: employees were empowered to take responsibility for accurate time recording, while managers and HR acted as coaches, offering guidance on both legal requirements and system usage. This collaborative approach ensured a smooth transition and helped embed the new processes into daily operations.
